Meet Alexis!
Hi, I’m Alexis O’Brien—owner and lead photographer of Alexis Lee Photography. I’ve had a camera in my hands for as long as I can remember, capturing everything from my college days at Alabama (roll tide!) to the quiet, love-filled beginnings with my now husband, Murph. What started as a creative outlet quickly grew into something deeper when I realized how powerful photographs can be, how they hold onto moments our hearts never want to forget.
In 2018, Murph gifted me my first DSLR, and from that moment on, I never looked back. Over the past six years, I’ve had the honor of photographing hundreds of families, but welcoming my two sons into the world forever changed my life and the way I see my work. Becoming their mama showed me just how quickly time moves and how every season, both beautiful and hard, deserves to be remembered.
Motherhood has taught me to treasure it all: the tiny fingers wrapped around mine, the sleepy snuggles, the laughter-filled days, and even the tough, exhausting moments that shape us just as deeply as the joyful ones. These seasons don’t last forever, and now more than ever, I understand the longing to remember not just how it looked, but how it felt.
Today, I photograph with a mother’s heart, honoring the love, connection, chaos, and tenderness that make up family life. My goal is to preserve these fleeting moments so you can return to them years from now and remember every season, the hard, the fun, the tough, and the overwhelming love that makes it all worth it.
Whether you’re interested in documenting life in your own home, somewhere along the shore or in my new studio space (located in the heart of downtown Tampa), I lean into natural light and the Floridian coastal tones to create timeless images you’ll treasure now and in the years to come.
You might find me with coffee or wine (depending on the time of day).

I love spending time with my two boys and our dog, Hawker.
You’ll almost always find me in a headband, they are my favorite accessory!
